Stop selling products, start selling dreams

I have been selling my notion templates for 2 months now. The growth was good but not amazing.

Reasons

For the first month, I pursued my audience based on the idea of my notion templates.

Here, I earned $0 and have a total of 23 free sales.

In the second month, I pursued my audience based on the purpose of my notion templates. The idea was working but first, I put out way too many templates, and second, giving the purpose is not enough.

Here, I earned $103 and had 368 sales. This was literally the first time, I ever earned in my life.

How I am gonna take it to next level?

This time I don’t wanna sell them my products, I wanna sell them their dreams.

“Your audience don’t care about your product, company, or idea. They care about themselves, their hopes and dreams. Help them fulfil their dreams and you will win them over.” — Steve Jobs

I wanna pursue people by describing how it can reform their lives and not by the idea or purpose of the template.

How you are gonna do that?

You can do that by self-assessing your product.

Try to answer these questions about your product:

  1. What’s the thing your product helps your ideal customer achieving?
  2. How do your product help people achieve their dreams?

It gave me my answers and will most probably give you the answer and you can then build into that.
