Storytelling is a well-founded skill that can be learned by a person. The first step towards achieving those qualities, you have to integrate storytelling into your life. So, to open your minds and get the essence of storytelling in your life, this is an activity for you, which will help you understand the concept of storytelling and will probably make you a storyteller.

Activity 1 → Check your creativity.

So, as you have come till now. Stop here, and look at the below image. And don’t move forward with the article without pausing for at least 15 minutes.

If you think that whatever you are going to forget within that time, then brain dump your thinking on a small piece of paper–no need of organizing your text or anything–just dump everything from your brain.

I believe you paused for the suggested time.

If yes, then try to write a story on it or a poem, or maybe a diary entry, or any type of text you are comfortable with.

This is a try from my approach for the topic(I will believe many will be very superior from me, well I am at grade 9th)–

“The other day, I was traveling through the woods with my father. We were having a great journey together talking about life and fame–in our acute knowledge of philosophy– enjoying a walk and the vibes of the forest. We came across a grove of pine trees. My father looked at it as had a throwback of his life. My father’s father was a big farmer and at that time they had a lot of pine trees–this is what my father said to me. But, when I saw that same tree, I didn’t felt anything considerable about it. So, I just took a pretty picture of it, and Now, I am on the platform of medium writing this narration, thinking how great this tree is, that bought happiness into a family.”

Now, I would like you to know your story over the picture.

Activity 2 → Practice Storywriting

This is a technique that I learned from the book, “Story Worthy” by “Mathew Dicks”. The technique is to practice writing an entry of your most story-worthy moment of the day. To get the full benefit of it, you should do it every day, (in the morning or evening, up to when you feel fresh).

I will surely recommend reading the book “Storyworthy” by “Mathew Dicks” You can buy it by clicking here.*This is an affiliate link. It will let us make this content available for free.*

Activity 3 → Putting yourself in difficult situations.

Another method to make yourself a better storyteller is to put yourself into hard and difficult conversations. The way that I was did to improve both my English and my storytelling was that I was trying to take part in more and more competitions related to speaking, talking, or maybe some kind of debate even if I don’t like to do it.

So, take part in how many things you can.

So, I think that is when I end this article with a sweet note, “Great stories happen to them, who can tell them.”
