My Story

I have been waking up at 4 am for almost my whole life now.

I got this habit from my father when I was 10–12 years old. My father had a habit of waking up at 4 am daily so he started waking me up with him too.

It was less intentional at first but the benefits of waking up early for me changed my living structure.

The Benefits of Waking Up Early

Waking up as early as 4 am gave me a lot of opportunities and possibly will give you too.

These are some of the benefits that I received from waking up early:-

  • Great start to the day.
  • Some time in silence for meditation.
  • Two hours of highlight time(time to perform the priority of the day).

Wake Up Early

Waking up early is one of the best habits to have. You can get that skill set in your pocket too.

Note: If you are a night owl, you don’t need to change. You just need to make use of your nighttime.

Know your sleeping hours

Sleeping at 11 pm and waking up at 4 am will not do you any good. Knowing your sleeping hours is a very important part of waking up early. Know the time you take to have a complete sleep.

If you don’t get complete sleep, you will neither able to work efficiently nor will able to make this habit consistent.

Inconsistent waking up routine is not for you

To build a habit you need to be consistent with your sleep routine. If you sleep at 10 pm, you need to sleep every day at 10 pm.

You sleep early, you take more time to sleep eventually crossing the 10 pm limit.

You sleep late, you will feel lagging the whole morning.

Wake up with a plan

Every morning you get up from your bed, you will ask yourself what do you want to do. If the answer is I don’t know, the snooze button clicks.

In early mornings, your brain is not very active which means you should have a specific goal to achieve.

Everything should already be in place

As mentioned earlier, your brain isn’t much active in early mornings. If you’re going to wake up and study your desk should be organized and ready to work on.
